GREEN HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGY PROCESS SETS NEW STANDARDS

SUCCESSFUL FEV EUROPE TEST OF TIB APPLICATION - HIGH DEMAND FOR GREEN HYDROGEN AROUSES INTEREST.

Following the successful completion of tests at the independent FEV Europe GmbH Aachen, the Swiss company TIB-TEC AG can now begin to deepen its development work for specific applications for subsequent out-licensing. Apart from the power industry, which is considered the most important segment, the focus lies strongly on energy-intensive industries such as steel, glass, cement, and aluminium. Long-term solutions are also being sought in the mobility and transport logistics sectors. However, the transport segment of heavy goods, primarily cargo ships and trains, are an important and thus prioritized customer segment.

New global regulations, climate targets (“Net Zero by 2050”) and energy prices point to high growth rates for green hydrogen.

THERMAL PRODUCTION OF GREEN HYDROGEN WITH LOW ENERGY DEMAND

TIB-TEC’s process offers an attractive, thermal alternative for the production of green hydrogen. This is achieved with an energy requirement that is up to 50% lower than previously known in thermolysis processes. Water and steam are used for the production of hydrogen. The lower temperature opens up a wide range of possible applications for the technology. It also allows efficient use of the waste heat that would otherwise be lost. Decentralized (In-situ) green hydrogen production thus offers significant cost and environmental advantages.

TECHNOLOGY LICENSES AND PROFIT SHARING IN GREEN HYDROGEN PRODUCTION WITH TIB MODULE

TIB-TEC AG sees itself as a technology company. With the availability of the test results, the focus is now on licensing agreements with selected partners in various industries. This approach will ensure rapid market entry in several industrial sectors in the future. Sector-specific modifications of the TIB module will apply, depending on the intended use. TIB-TEC AG also considers the option to offer producers of green hydrogen access to the TIB technology via a “HaaS – Hydrogen as a Service” revenue share model. Thus, the expected revenue generation of TIB-TEC AG can be more broadly supported. In addition to licenses, premiums and commitment fees from licensees are expected to generate initial revenues.

ABOUT TIB-TEC AG

TIB-TEC AG is a technology company based in Baar/ZG Switzerland. The company intends to commercialize the intellectual property rights of the developed technology in the field of hydrogen in different industrial sectors. The technology enables the production of hydrogen from water using waste heat, while reducing or largely eliminating the need for additional non-renewable (fossil) energy. At the same time, as confirmed by the test procedure of FEV Europe GmbH Aachen, the TIB operates at lower temperatures than previously scientifically estimated without chemical additives.

TIB TEC AG focuses its R&D activities on efficient applications in the field of green hydrogen, as well as on activities and solutions for the reduction of CO2 emissions and an efficient energy use.
